What is the process of working with Lilley Consulting?
Complimentary Consultation Call. This is for parents to understand who I am and what I do.
After this call, parents receive a “Next Steps” email which includes link to complete Parent Intake Form, breakdown of Consulting Fees and link to pay, Information about Consulting Agreement sent via DocuSign, request for psych testing/treatment discharge paperwork, scheduling a call with the young adult, and brief recap of what a consultant does.
Complimentary Consultation call the young adult. This is a video call so I can see the young adult, and they can see me. If after that call the young adult is willing to work with Joanna, we move forward.
Young Adult receives a link to fill out the “Young Adult Intake Form,” and then “Care Coordination Release” via DocuSign to sign so I can speak with providers on their behalf. The young adult is also encouraged to go to their outpatient providers to sign ROIs so Lilley Consulting can speak with them.
Once the Consulting Agreement is signed by parents and payment is received, as well as the signed Care Coordination release from the young adult then I review all the materials. I thoroughly read parent intake form, young adult intake form, psych testing, program discharge summaries, hospital discharge summaries, IEPs, etc. From there, I will email and request a call to talk through any follow-up questions I have. Once this process is completed then I start to do research into potential resources or programs for the young adult.
In case it’s not obvious, this process takes times. I strongly prefer a direct connection with the young adult. With that said, I rarely take on a client that’s currently hospitalized because I don’t have the time to do my due diligence in gathering information, and I am not have access to the young adult like I would prefer. Additionally, the above process is my preference, it’s not a requirement. Through the inquiry process I will access if the information provided by the family does sound like a young adult I can work with. When I am hired when the young adult is currently in an outdoor behavioral health program, this process looks a little differently based on their access to technology.
Don’t let the above deter you from reaching out. This was intentionally meant to be shared in an effort to be transparent with parents before they speak with me.
