What is the process of working with Lilley Consulting?

  1. Complimentary Consultation Call. This is for parents to understand who I am and what I do. After this call, parents receive a “Next Steps” email which includes a lot of details, but nothing is initiated until Joanna speaks with the young adults.

  2. Complimentary Consultation call the young adult. This is a video call so I can see the young adult, and they can see me. If after that call the young adult is willing to work with Joanna, we move forward. Young Adult receives a link to fill out theYoung Adult Intake Form.” They receive a “Care Coordination Release” via DocuSign to sign so I can speak with providers on their behalf. The young adult is also encouraged to go to their outpatient providers to sign ROIs so Lilley Consulting can speak with them.

  3. Parents complete Parent Intake Form, sign Consultation Agreement via DocuSign, Pay through the Client Payment Portal, Send all supporting documentation for review (i.e. psych testing, treatment discharge paperwork, IEP and college accommodations, etc.).

  4. Once the Consultation Agreement is signed by parents and payment is received, as well as the signed Care Coordination release from the young adult then I review all the materials. I thoroughly read parent intake form, young adult intake form, psych testing, program discharge summaries, hospital discharge summaries, IEPs, etc. From there, I will email and request a call to talk through any follow-up questions I have. Once this process is completed then I will create an email summary detailing what I am looking for (based on wants and clinical needs). This is sent to parents and the young adult for approval. Once approved, then I start to do research into potential resources or programs for the young adult.

In case it’s not obvious, this process takes times. I require a direct connection with the young adult. With that said, I rarely take on a client that’s currently hospitalized because I don’t have the time to do my due diligence in gathering information, and I do not have access to the young adult like I would prefer. Through the inquiry process I will access if the information provided by the family does sound like a young adult I can work with.

Don’t let the above deter you from reaching out. This was intentionally meant to be shared in an effort to be transparent with parents before they speak with me. If you want to speak with me but will not allow me to speak with your young adult, I’m not the right consultant for you.
